Coach O’Neil enters his 6th year as an assistant coach and the Junior Varsity head coach at Plant. Coach O’Neil has been with Coach Willis for 7 years in all. He is instrumental in scouting and the offensive game plans the Panthers utilize. As JV Head Coach, Coach O’Neil spends hours on the court training up the JV and also working with the Varsity players. He has coached at the high school and college level, even spending 5 of those years coaching the men’s team at his Alma Mater – the University of South Florida where he earned degrees in both Accounting and Management Information Systems.  Prior to Plant, he coached at Bloomingdale High School along with Coach Willis.  Outside of basketball, he founded and is still president of Appssurance, Inc.  He and his wife DeAnna keep busy with their two children, Connor and Jenna.  Connor is in his final year at USF and Jenna is in her senior year at Bloomingdale HS.
